Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP)

AREF fully participates in the following federal loan programs:

• Federal Stafford (student) Loan, subsidized and unsubsidized
  NOTE: Prior to applying for federal Stafford loans, students may be asked to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA). This may be done through your school of choice or please contact us for more information.
• Federal Parent PLUS Loan
• Federal Graduate PLUS Loan

Alternative Loan Program (non-federal)

AREF provides funding for students who attend colleges or schools which do not participate in the federal Stafford Loan Program. Typically these loans will be set at a higher interest rate and will require a co-maker. They are as follows:

• Undergraduate Student Loans
• Graduate Student Loans
• Health Care Professions Student Loans
• Continuing Education Student Loans
• Proprietary School Student Loans
